The snow was lightly falling as I entered The Glen Oro Farm airbnb. The wood fire filled the air and it couldn't have been a more cozy hideaway. A little back story on this sweet couple - Amanda and Brani went to high school together but never paid much attention to one another. They crossed paths again at Brani's cousins engagement party 10 years later and hit it off right away. "It's been fast and furious ever since," says Amanda. This was such a special session for the couple, as it was the first time taking photos all on their own. No belly, no babies, just the two of them. Amanda and Brani are parents to four children under six years old!! You heard right folks! I am in complete awe of how they do it so flawlessly. It was an absolute pleasure spending the afternoon hanging with these two babes in the most idyllic setting.
Robyn and Jamie are expecting their first baby this month, and I couldn't be more excited for them! We shot the session in the comfort of their beautiful home. They make an amazing pair and will be wonderful parents to their little girl!
I have always been intrigued by human interactions and how we communicate with one another through our words and bodies - especially when it comes to two people in love. When I met Jenalle and Remco their passion for each other was electric. The way they look and touch one another, there are no words needed.
When your high school friend asks if you can shoot their engagement session, you say heck yes! I am honoured to be able to create memories for Adele and Dave. We decided to shoot at the Paletta Mansion in Burlington as the sun was setting on a cool Autumn evening. And yes, that smile didn't leave her face:)
I loved working with Hannah and Rob, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first babe. This talented couple are both teachers, but I also discovered that Hannah is an opera singer, while Rob plays for the Canadian rugby team. We nestled in the ambience of their cozy home, and then headed outdoors to enjoy the last days of autumn.
I have been friends with Neil for about five years and was over the moon when he asked me to document their big day next summer. Bri and Neil enjoy the outdoors as much as I do so naturally we decided to wander into the forest for their engagement session. Bri and Neil fit together effortlessly as we explored and laughed a lot.
Erin and Ryan welcomed me into their stunning Toronto home and within five minutes we jumped into their bed - for professional purposes of course. These two are perfectly adorable, both being laid back and fun loving. They suggested we walk along the Humber River for our session, which is where Ryan proposed this past winter. It is certainly a beautiful spot in the city to relax and enjoy the sunshine and heat. Of course their gorgeous Great Dane, Monroe, was not left behind and joined us on the adventure too.
This fun loving couple is celebrating their recent engagement with their adorable one year old daughter. He proposed ever so romantically. She followed a candlelit pathway only to find him down on one knee. We basked in the sunshine by the lake and captured this exciting time in their life. Their beautiful daughter was all smiles the entire session and her delicate red tendrils were to die for.
I have known Mere since high school and was honoured to document this time for her and Mike as they have just purchased their first home in the east end of Toronto. When they requested Brickworks for their location I was excited to explore this spot for I had never been. We wandered around this charming place, people/dog watching and laughed a lot. It's wonderful to see these two so happy. They balance each other beautifully.
