I have been documenting Sarah’s Family for a few years and every time I do I fall a little more in love with her kids. It is pure chaos and adore every minute of it. There is always silliness, laughing, and so much warmth between them. I feel so lucky to be witnessing it all.
My beautiful barefoot bride Michelle and her husband, Lucas basked under the sun as they said I do at her family cottage. This laid back day was fun and cozy surrounded by a small group of family and friends.
I have known this family before they became one! I went to high school with Brock and Dani and I became fast friends after shooting their wedding and many sessions since. When Dani mentioned she wanted their latest session in the pool, I jumped on the idea! Being around water is my favourite place to be. I always adore working alongside this family and am incredibly honoured to have documented their babies grow up.

I have been fortunate enough to document Sarah and David’s sweet moments in life on numerous occasions. This one being extra special as they waited for their little boy to arrive and grow their family. Together, these two have a harmonizing energy. Sarah exudes a beautiful calming spirit and David has an energetic personality. It is always a treat to have these two in front of my lens.
Samantha and Scott, parents to two littles had night away from their kiddos and I was lucky enough to document this playful evening with them. We ran through open fields in the golden sun, danced under the trees and ended the night watching the sun dip beneath the lake with the moon shining overhead. There is something so magical, delicate and mesmerizing about being in the water. Watching hair and fabric move slowly and freely through the water is my favourite. Thank you for sharing such a memorable summers night with me you two xx.
I was able to witness Andrew drop to his knee and propose to Victoria a couple of months prior to shooting their intimate cottage wedding amongst the fall colours. This wedding was my favourite wedding of 2020 (not just because it was my only wedding - thank you Covid-19) but because it was with the most charming and kind humans in the most beautiful Airbnb in Huntsville. Victoria and Andrew invited their closest friends and family and said I do on the edge of the lake overlooking the reflections of the fall trees. They chose to read their own heartfelt vows and had the room beaming with tears and smiles. They shared their first dance surrounded by tall pines and candles with their favourite people surrounding them. They dined outside with stringed lights overhead and greenery draped the table tops. There was so much love shown throughout the day, and I was so honoured to be a part of such a memorable celebration. Victoria and Andrew, you’re just the best xx
Victoria reached out to me to book a couples session, and a few days later Andrew reached out and told me he was going to propose during the session. So sneaky, I friggin love it! Upon meeting both Victoria and Andrew, I felt an immediate ease and instantly drawn to their energy. Their love for one another was so evident, I couldn’t help but smile watching their story unfold. Luckily for me, they asked me to shoot their intimate cottage wedding months later. I am so fortunate to cross paths with incredibly caring people like these who I can proudly call my friends now. I am so lucky to have such incredible people supporting me session after session. Dani is one of these people. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting her laid-back boho wedding in the forest, a dare to bare session in the dead of winter by the lake, Beau’s newborn photos, and now watching her become an amazing mama to her little man at 4 months old. These sessions are more then just clicking away for me. These are moments frozen in time for you to look back on for the rest of your lives.
Now more then ever my desire to capture connection is thriving. Motherhood in particular has taken a hold of me in the deepest sense of being. This all consuming love with highs and lows has revealed parts of me that I need to work on and parts of me that are flourishing. These moments are fleeting with our littles and I think it’s important to remind ourselves of this and breath deeply through this ride of motherhood. I can’t wait to get back at it, and document you and your loves, but in the meantime, hold them tight.
My family and I travelled to Prince Edward County for the first time to shoot Janita and Justin's wedding at 100 Acre Wood. It was a cool, crisp, colourful Fall day in October day when I met them both for the first time on the day of their wedding. Janita and Justin both welcomed me into their worlds with open arms and continued to radiate warmth and kindness throughout the day to everyone around them. They both walked into the day staying present and positive which created such a wonderful energy to the day. One thing that Janita and Justin did that I absolutely loved was have their family and friends share their speeches right after the ceremony. They handed out glasses of champagne to their guests and everyone got cozy in their seats to enjoy all of the tears and laughs alongside the bride and groom. Another reason why this idea is so awesome is when it came to enjoying dinner, everyone was able to sit back, eat and drink and have conversation without any interruptions. Their day was full of comfort, rich coloured flowers, candles, delicious food, dogs, and a golden sunset. They finished the night dancing under a moonlit sky, surrounded by their favourites and string lights. Pretty much the best day. Thank you endlessly for choosing me.
This wedding was one for the books in so many ways. Damarra and Tim were so good to me, down for anything, and know how to have a good time! They allowed the day to unfold exactly as it should and celebrated with family and friends without a care in the world. Their dog babies were in tow for most of the day. They were treated as family, just as they should be. Not to mention, Tim had been working on his Pontiac Firebird for years because he wanted to incorporate it into the wedding day but he couldn’t get a started shortly before. His family and friends came together and surprised him as he was about to walk down the aisle and parked the car at the outdoor ceremony. Tim had tears running down his cheeks and you couldn’t shake the smile from his face. All in all an unforgettable day! Thank you Damarra and Tim for allowing me to be a part of it. xx
Meg invited me into her home to document the loves of her life, her three children and new hubby, Mark. She welcomed me into her beautiful historical home filled with cozy furnishings and beautiful photographs, as she too is a photographer. I am beyond flattered when other photographers trust me with their precious memories, it means the world to me. I absolutely adored shooting this big family, there was so much love, and always something going on for me capture. We hung out in their home, and then adventured into the streets of Toronto where we got goodies and caffeine from their favourite little coffee shop. These kids were insanely well mannered and warm to me. I’ll never forget her son, Seamus, asked to give me a hug before we parted ways. Just the sweetest thing! This day was nothing short of magical. Upon meeting both Alex and Shawn they couldn't have been more kind, warm, and thoughtful which set the tone for the incredible day ahead. As they both got ready, the rain poured down, and continued into their ceremony, but neither of them were phased, which is completely telling of who they are what is important to them. When they saw each other at the ceremony you could feel the electricity and love between them, which is more than evident in their photos. As the day unfolded with laughter, delicious food, and lots of love from family and friends, the rain stopped, and created the dreamiest backdrop of whimsical fog against a pink sky. We were in heaven watching the sky change colour with each passing moment.
I'm finally getting around to blogging one of my favourite weddings ever for so many reasons. Perhaps because if I ever decide to marry myself this is exactly how I want to do it. Sam and Taylor created the most intimate, chill backyard wedding, full of delicious food, amazing music, and lots of love. This couples creative talents spread to the entire family, while Taylor's brother painted a portrait of the bride and groom throughout the party for guests to witness. They included all of the little details important to them that have molded into the people they are today. Sam and Taylor married themselves under string lights hung in the night sky surrounded by their nearest and dearest. "We don't need anyone with a power vested in them, or a piece of paper to tell us whether we are, or are not married to the one we love," says Sam. After committing to one another for a lifetime we snuck down to the lake and threw off our shoes. Sam dressed in a white lace minidress and Taylor in a blue suede suit, the two could care less about getting a little dirty to enjoy the most incredible summer night. The sky was painted pink as we played and danced in the water. They made their own rules, which ultimately made for the best day. I am so happy for you both and will forever be grateful I could be a part of this unforgettable night!
The snow was lightly falling as I entered The Glen Oro Farm airbnb. The wood fire filled the air and it couldn't have been a more cozy hideaway. A little back story on this sweet couple - Amanda and Brani went to high school together but never paid much attention to one another. They crossed paths again at Brani's cousins engagement party 10 years later and hit it off right away. "It's been fast and furious ever since," says Amanda. This was such a special session for the couple, as it was the first time taking photos all on their own. No belly, no babies, just the two of them. Amanda and Brani are parents to four children under six years old!! You heard right folks! I am in complete awe of how they do it so flawlessly. It was an absolute pleasure spending the afternoon hanging with these two babes in the most idyllic setting.
Looking to have a rustic, simple, yet glamorous wedding on the lake? Look to Aly and Tom, who know how to throw a cottage wedding in style. Before walking down the aisle, Tom and his boys relaxed on the dock, dove into the water, and cruised the lake, while Aly and her girls sipped champagne whilst easing into their dresses.
The people they loved most gathered together at Tom's family cottage, where string lights hung through the trees, cream coloured flowers filled the vases, and antique plates adorned the table tops. Tom and Aly shared their first dance outside amongst the pines on the most unreal wooden dance floor blanketed with lush greenery, before entering the tent for dinner. Everyone was able to give their full attention to the new bride and groom and enjoy the moment with them, while I was able to capture their dance as the sun began to fall behind the pines. After filling their bellies with amazing food, they kicked their dance party off with sparklers for all of their guests. You know it’s a good party when the bride can really let loose and sets the tone for the celebration to begin!

I absolutely adore photographing clients in their homes. Home is that special place where you are completely at ease with yourself and the ones you love most, which ultimately translates into beautiful memories. Some people reach out to me and are concerned if their home is ‘good enough’ to shoot a session in. I always respond that ‘If you have a window, we good!’ When taking photos, my focus is capturing emotions and light, and I don’t worry so much on the perfect background.
I am so thankful that these wonderful and sweet first time expectant parents welcomed me into their home with their fur baby, Reggie, by their side. It is special to me that I can have real talk with my clients turned friends about the hurdles and struggles of parenthood, and of the course, the joys that make it all worth it. I am honored to share the beginning of your parenthood journey. Wishing you all the love as you wait for your precious boy to arrive x.

Being able to capture these special moments in life for my friend, Danielle and her sweet girl Naia is something close to my heart. Capturing motherhood is something that has been a strong theme in my work for the past few years, as I have been in the thick of it myself. As mothers, we are typically the one behind the camera, so I believe it is so important for us to be captured with our little ones in a true, authentic, and real way. The bond we share with our children is like no other and my goal is try and capture the purity and rawness of motherhood in all it's beautiful chaos. Truthfully, I wasn't sure how most of the images were going to turn out as Lucy was with me and I was entertaining her on sidelines or holding her for every shot, but I am thankful for the outcome. Danielle, thank you, as always, for trusting me to make with these precious memories for you both. You are beautiful xx.

I have to admit shooting for other photographers can be a daunting task, but all my worries were set aside upon Scarlet opening the door. Her smile is warm and welcoming and her husband Anthony and her allowed me to do my thing in their space, which is the dream. Every nook in their downtown Toronto apartment is filled with sentimental items of their life together. It is the epitome of cozy, and it is the type of home you feel immediately comfortable in. Little Oscar is just the sweetest little boy, full of personality, and a spinning image of his beautiful mama. I am overwhelmed with honour to be asked to document this stage in their lives. xx
